With The Market on Chapel Hill just mere weeks away,
we've been working away on
some goodies going along for the ride.
Some to keep, some to sell.
Today, my Mr. constructed my pastry cases
out of old windows
which will display lots of delicious things.
I love that old rustic, been around forever, look.
The fronts of the windows still have the
metal pulls and locks and
I love them!
Another re-purpose project
are our pastry display stands.
Although the tops and bases are new wood,
the tower is recycled material from
old broken chairs and tables that
we've squirreled away for such projects.
There are still a few things to build but we are making
great progress.
It's been a long time since I've
played shop keeper and been able to set up
my "traveling boutique".
I am so ready.
This experience will be a little different though.
Pastries, cakes and candies. That shall be
my haul.
See you soon.

I hope it is all you hope it to be <3
ReplyDeleteIt will be an experience, that's for sure! Thanks for visiting, Z. xo
DeleteAmber,
ReplyDeleteYour goodies are going to look sooooo CUTE! Looking forward to having some.
Blessings,
Linda
I can hardly wait, Linda! I am secretly happy that my "goods" won't take a trailer to haul. :) I loved doing the Vintage Market show back home but now, I think I'm loving the baking even more. I might be visiting the coffee cart regularly because I know I'll be up all night finishing.
DeleteQue experiencia tan positiva. Los muebles han quedado estupendos..

Gracias Antonio! Nos gusta hacer cosas que son utilizables. Hago tortas y otros pasteles y estoy vendiendo en un mercado en Octubre. Voy a vender estos puestos tambiƩn.
DeleteI am excited for you and hope you get to enjoy it too! I am definitely breaking my diet for you that day.
ReplyDelete:) Yay! Can't wait to see you, Deb. We're revving up in high gear come this weekend to get everything finished. I'll be doing some late nights at the kitchen a couple of days before the show. My biggest issue is how much to make. I'll give the other food vendor a holler and ask her. She's been the sole food vendor the past couple of years so she'd be a great source. Can't wait to see you!
DeleteGirl, I bet you'll sell out! Food always sells well. I know you enough to know it will taste great and look beautiful! Love your stands and cases!!!! I want to come!!!!! Maybe someday!!
ReplyDeleteHugs and happiness to you !
Betsy
Gosh Betsy, I sure hope so! :)
DeleteJust loved your gifts to Betsy, so thought I would pop over and take a look. What a wonderful selection of pastry stands. I am obsessed with cake stands. Definitely running out of room to store them though!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jacqueline. I, too, have a obsession with stands. It's the storage that becomes the issue. :) Hopefully we'll sell some but I won't be too sad if we don't. Thank you for visiting!
DeleteHow are you my friend? These are amazing! Such talent!
ReplyDeleteHi Gina! I have been horrible about visiting and keeping up! I'll be over shortly. Two weeks and counting! We'll be finishing up the construction projects by this weekend leaving me some time for last minute fine tuning. It will be an experience and interesting!
