I was pretty selfish yesterday (Mother's Day).
I took a "me" day.
I was invited to do something that I haven't done
since my boys were born, let alone conceived.
Horseback riding.
It was the best day I have had in a long time.
I rode a real pretty black and white paint named Teddy.
He was good to me. A gentleman with nice trail manners.
We rode for three hours.
Yeah, my butt hurts but I feel
so good on the inside!
I can openly say,
a good "me" day is also good
for my family.
Horses are my best medicine.
I got a present when I got home too.
The Mr. made me a new farmhouse clothesline.
I'll be priming and painting it today and figuring out
the best placement in the yard.
I'll share pictures soon.
xo, Amber
Sounds like a perfect day, Amber.
ReplyDeleteHorses and clotheslines...simplicity and all it's glory. :)
If you need any help on hanging clothes, ask me! I got some great tips from my mother-in-law when I was in England! Those sheets straight from the sun, ah, that is just the best!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a happy Mother's Day with the horses!
Ah a "me" day, a day of getting back your sanity, your dreams...good for you.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful time.

Oh... my first horse back ride since ages!!! Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful horse you have!
All the best from Austria
Elisabeth
Hello Elisabeth! Teddy was just my trusty steed for the day. He was a great horse. My soreness is finally subsiding. :) Can't wait to do it again! Austria?! Wow!
